Window film and solar tint
Singapore sun bakes a cabin fast, and glass roofs on EVs make it worse. Good solar film keeps the heat out without making your windows too dark to be legal.

What is window film?
Car window film is a thin film fitted on the inside of the glass to reject heat and UV. The nano ceramic solar film we posted has 93% to 96% IR rejection, and we fit shades that meet Singapore's light rules: at least 70% visible light through the front windscreen and front side windows, and 25% at the rear.
Why choose solar window film?
- Cooler cabin. Nano ceramic film with 93% to 96% IR (heat) rejection, as posted for our opening offer.
- Legal shades. We match the 70% front and 25% rear light rule (MOT, 7 April 2026).
- Old film removed. Our opening offer included free removal of your existing film.
- 7-year warranty. As stated on our opening offer; ask us for today's terms.

Window film questions
How dark can my car tint be in Singapore?
Film on the front windscreen and front side windows must let at least 70% of visible light through, and at least 25% on the rear windscreen and rear side windows. This was restated by the Ministry of Transport on 7 April 2026.
Do I need LTA approval for window tint?
No. OneMotoring lists tinted films and tinted glass under modifications that do not need LTA approval, as long as the light rules are met.
Does solar film help with a Tesla glass roof?
Yes. A heat-rejecting film on a panoramic glass roof cuts the heat that comes through it. See our guide on Tesla roof heat.
